Our services The most important aid you can have in learning to fly is an instructor. It is not impossible to teach yourself, but unless you are exceptionally gifted, the process will inevitably result in many hours spent repairing broken models. An instructor's guidance will not necessarily prevent the occasional accident, but will increase tenfold the chances of bringing your model home in one piece at the end of the day, and his experience will be invaluable in reducing the time required to reach a solo standard. COURSES

Intro flying lesson: 2 hours for £45
Don't buy or bring plane, just come down to the field, pay for one hour and get the second free. We'll hook you up with one of our staff and you'll start flying one of ours immediately even if you've had no experience. Don't worry, we use the 'buddy box' system (two controllers linked together) so if it starts looking hairy, the instructor takes over and gets you back on track.

Own plane set-up: £30/hour or £200/day
Built your plane but nervous about putting it up alone? Bring it over and we'll run it through our pre-flight checklist, get you onto the G3 simulator to build up your skills, explain flight theory, weather and other essentials to build your confidence, then it's out to the field with you. Goodness, we might even film the event….

Training package: 3 days and your own plane and radio. £699
If you like flying, why not go for our training package and get stuck in? You'll get your own Irvine Tutor 40 to build, an OS 46 MAX engine, a Futaba six-channel radio, servos, receiver and miscellaneous bits for the course price (we pay for the fuel). You'll build your plane with one of our experts, set it up and we'll engine-test it. During construction you'll be meticulously trained in our G3 simulator theatre to familiarize yourself with the controls and differing weather conditions. Then on Day 3, it's out to the field for your big day. (Bad weather sometimes necessitates rescheduling - there are no cancellation fees).
(Package includes servos, battery, receiver, tubing, wiring, tube padding, switch, Voltspy, glue and three days' tuition).

SIMULATOR THEATRE
In our opinion, the Real Flight G3 simulator is the best on the market. We have a custom theatre with wide screen and sound system for realism. Your instructor will train you in all aspects of r/c flying until you are confident to proceed to the next level.
